About MPMA

NGO ” Montenegrin Project Management Association – MPMA” (hereinafter: Association) is a non-governmental and non-profit scientific association based on indefinite time in order to achieve the objectives in the field of project management, which has its Statute.

GOALS AND ACTIVITIES

The Association organizes, encourages and assists the professional activities of its members in order to improve their work and their professional competence. At the same time, its activity contributes to national and international promotion and further development of Project Management.

The goals of the Association are aimed meeting the common and individual needs and interests of their members. The Association achieves the program goals through the following activities:

• Gathering members and other interested parties for mutual introduction, professional information and technical education;
• Organizes professional and scientific meetings, independently or in cooperation with other organizations;
• Publicize or participates in the publication of professional, scientific and informative-transparent works and publications;
• Helps its members in vocational and scientific education and training, organize and implement suitable forms of permanent education;
• Launches and supports professional initiatives, gives expert evaluations, works and realizes studies and projects in the field of their business;
• Encourages and participates  in various forms of international cooperation in project management;
• Conducts the process of international certification of project managers in cooperation with the International Project Management Association.
• Monitor the development of the region in the country and the world, inform the public and points to flows and changes in this area, recommends methodology and standards in these areas;
• Popularizing the importance of project management and marketing representation in this field.

   The activities of the Association are:

1. Collects and processes scientific and professional literature in the field of project management;
2. Organizes, alone or in cooperation with other organizations, professional meetings, consultations, seminars and other forms of education in the field of project management;
3. Publishes books and other publications on issues related to project management, in accordance with the law;
4. organizes educational workers and other experts for work on education of adults, children and youth in the field of project management;
5. Cooperates with universities, schools, professional associations and other organizations in the country and abroad that deal with project management.

INTERNAL ORGANISATION

The bodies of the NGO “Montenegrin Project Management Association – MPMA” are: the Assembly, the Steering Board and the person authorized for representation.

Within the Association there is an organizational unit that is involved in the implementation of the international certification of project managers, in accordance with the standards prescribed by the International Association for Project Management. The internal organization of this organizational unit will be arranged closer by special acts.

NETWORKING

The association can connect and join in alliances or other appropriate associations in the country and abroad.

In order to achieve its goals, the association establishes contacts, exchanges information and cooperates with other governmental and non-governmental organizations, professional, scientific, educational and similar associations and organizations in the country and abroad.

NGO ” Montenegrin Project Management Association – MPMA” can access international associations and organizations, which decision is made by the Assembly. Accession to international associations is registered with the competent state body within fifteen days, in accordance with the law.
